Wistful, reflective, soothing... I am en.vel.op'd in a sepia haze... seeing through the August lens of summer's Dog Days... my first post in over a month. I've been meditating on the photos I've taken this summer. This little 'film' was shot from one of my favorite 'locales' ~ the inside of the Southwest Chief. (I did not get the name of these young Mennonite folk. If this is you, let me know!)
Note the water bottle, the cell phone...
There are countless untold stories along this rail line, out on this magnificent, beautiful, wide open, abundant and at once unforgiving drought-prone landscape. I invite you to enjoy this visual narrative, this unwritten story. As with all work, it is a self-portrait of sorts. I think it strikes a universal cord. xoxo, Julie
